Lake’s goal is to address relevant and deeply personal topics affecting her generation. Art allows her to navigate emotional, mental, and physical barriers. Using photography, she has explored issues relating to identity, queerness, representation, inclusion, and climate change. Lake is passionate about her work when creating personal, vulnerable, and complex images.

Lake uses her art in the classroom, at work, and on social media to encourage dialog about relevant issues. Whether deconstructing gender stereotypes or educating viewers about social change, she intends to inspire her audience.
